PhD in biomedical sciences is a course dedicated to graduates in scientific disciplines (for example biology, physics and engineering) with an interest in basic and applied research to disease, and to graduated in Medicine who choose the postgraduate doctoral training with the intent to acquire skills in the context of translational research. The training in this PhD program is intended to improve knowledge and skills required for understanding functional and pathological mechanisms using a multi-scale approach (molecular, cellular, systemic) and includes courses in mathematics, biophysics, computer science, physiology, biochemistry, pharmacology, pathology and therapy.
